Algiers Symbol

Algiers is an American rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. Their music has been described as a dystopian soul with somber mood, afrofolk inspired vocal approach, and heavy emphasis on atonal textures.

Relying on their socially engaged lyrics, we designed a symbol representing a modern revolution - two fists with the star filling the negative space. Although it was initially designed for a poster, the band embraced the symbol for a clothing series and different types of merchandise.
